Because tea tastes better in a quaint tearoom
Located in the cute town of Sassafras, this Tudor-style tearoom is a must visit! This is one of my favourite outings. The scones are divine, the jam is to die for and the ambiance is awesome. There is a fireplace, decorative teapots spread about and the cutest floral tablecloths. The service is fantastic and the menu is great.
A serve of scones with cream & jam is $11.50 but it is a generous serving. In fact, I've found that one serving is enough for two of us. They also sell soup and other sweet/savoury dishes. You just have to note that minimum spend is $10.00 per person and there are no split bills. This is a very popular place to go, so yes, if you go later it will be busy and you will have to queue. However, if you get there just before it opens and get in on the first or second sitting, it's much better. They don't take reservations as they are just too busy.
The location of this tearoom is fantastic, as there are many quaint shops in Sassafras that you can stroll around while waiting for your sitting in the tearoom or for a bit of a walk after.
