After the success of the Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries exhibition which was held at Rippon Lea House & Gardens during 2014, Miss Fisher is returning. To be held from 1 May to 11 October to coincide with the screening of the third series on the ABC, this new exhibition will feature never before seen costumes and props.

You can try on replica costumes and interact with props and furniture from the show. While upstairs you'll be able to go behind the scenes to discover how the costumes were made and the inspiration behind them. You will even get the chance to design your own dress.


During the exhibition there will be "Festival of Phyrne". Some of the activities will include Mystery Dinner at Como House, Pop Up Speakeasy at Old Melbourne Gaol, Afternoon tea at Labassa Mansion, Curatorial Floor Talks, Meet the Makers Talk and Afternoon Tea and a walking tour and Afternoon Tea at Tasma Terrace.

Based on the novels of Australian author Kerry Greenwood,Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries revolves around the personal and professional life of Phryne Fisher (Essie Davis), a glamorous private detective in 1920's Melbourne. It also stars Nathan Page (Detective Inspector John "Jack" Robinson), Ashleigh Cummings (Dorothy "Dot" Williams), Hugo Johnstone-Burt (Constable Hugh Collins) and Miriam Margolyes (Aunt Prudence).


Essie Davis, who stars as Phryne Fisher said, "As soon as I put on Phryne's clothes I can adopt Phryne poses and promenade, and make an entry, feel confident and audacious… They just make me feel so good that I get away with things I could never pull off in my everyday life."

The exhibition runs until 11 October and is open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
