Miss Drew's Bakery & Dog Cafe is located on the Mornington Peninsula, an area of Melbourne that is littered with beautiful natural attractions including a variety of beaches with scenic sighs and views, various wineries, and mazes. There's even the option of a diverse arrays of water sports that are made available due to its prime location surrounded by Port Phillip to the west, Western Port to the east and Bass Strait to the south. It's a little over an hour from Melbourne's central business district, but with so much to do in the area, the Mornington Peninsular is a great place for a day trip escape from the city, or a short weekend getaway.
Can you tell me a little bit about Miss Drew's Bakery & Dog Cafe?
Miss Drew's Bakery started off as a small run-from-home business that was established by Kim and Miss Drew, respective human and canine CEOs of Miss Drew's, and the brains and inspiration behind the business. Miss Drew's offers a wide range of bakery style biscuits and treats for dogs "that will have them drooling for more", freshly baked in Melbourne using local and Australian sourced human-grade ingredients where possible. The treats come in a wide variety of cute shapes and sizes, with brightly coloured decor (e.g. icing, sprinkles) that are made using only natural ingredients. They look good enough for us to eat! Plus, Miss Drew's even caters for festive seasons throughout the year with special edition festive treats to match!

For something extra special, Miss Drew's also accepts orders for custom treats for special occasions, such as your pooch's barkday or adoptversary - including doggy birthday cakes! Prices will vary depending on amount required, icing type and decorations. If you live in and around the Melbourne area and are able to pick up from the Mornington Peninsula, the base rate for doggy birthday cakes starts from $35. If you live elsewhere in Australia, the base rate starts from $45 - the higher price is because different ingredients need to be used in order to produce a cake that is suitable for shipping).

In addition to the run-from-home online bakery business, Miss Drew's has recently opened their own dog cafe on the Mornington Peninsula - the very first dog cafe in the area. Located in the Tyabb Packing House Antiques Craft Village, Miss Drew's Dog Cafe provides a fun space for dogs of all breeds and ages to enjoy a treat (or two or three) outside as a special treat; here, humans accompany their furbabies to a cafe rather than the other way round! There is plenty of outdoor seating available in the village, which includes the Rattling Red Cafe, a 100 year old Red Rattler Train that has since been renovated to run as a cafe.
Eddy and Sam had to miss out this time, but they were there in spirit (or rather, a Polaroid picture)!
How can I spoil my pooch at Miss Drew's Bakery & Dog Cafe?
Oh, in more ways than you thought was possible! With heaps of other friendly doggy patrons out and about in the craft village where Miss Drew's Dog Cafe is located, just taking your dog on a day trip out to the Morning Peninsula is a treat in itself. But of course, why stop there? Choose an item (or two) from their extensive doggy menu... it'd be hard to settle on just one! For something light, opt for something from their 'Mini Snacks' section (such as cookies, pupcakes, muffins, mini pies and pastries). For something heartier, or for bigger dogs, opt for something from their 'Mains' section (such as large pies, fish and chips, burger and chips, meatloaf and mash). And of course, to complete the meal, your furbaby needs a drink - what about a pugichino? Or doggie tea? Barkeraide from L'Barkery? Pug shakes? Or perhaps even pug beer?
In addition to in-store treats, Miss Drew's Dog Cafe also has a range of other goodies available for purchase, including take-home treats for the pooches who weren't able to make it to the cafe or some reason or another. In addition to bow ties, collars, leads, toys, poop bags, and much more, Miss Drew's also has their own range of nose and paw butter balm, shampooch dog wash, and shampooch soap bar.
All this and much more! Photos taken from Miss Drew's Bakery & Dog Cafe's Facebook page and compiled into a collage.
