80's dance class at Edinburgh Hotel = $ for ORPHfund
Claire Bowman - aka Miss Clarissa
She's baaaaccckkkk and this time Miss Clarissa is helping to save the world one 80's tune at a time. On Tuesday, July 1 the Edinburgh Castle is playing host to the FUNdraising event of the year.
Get your leg warmers and lycra on - Miss Clarissa is holding this special 80's dance class as a one-off event to help support OrphFund buy beds and mattresses for their new children's home in Uganda. It costs a mere $12 to get you groove on and all proceeds go to the charity.
After all – "we are the world" and what better way to support it than by busting some classic 80's moves?
In other news, unbelievably, it's nearly time for the next semester of Jazzercise and Feel the Burn. Jazzercise is a Saturday morning eye-opener, focusing on a warm-up and different routine each week, while Feel The Burn is more a Jane Fondaesque work out – it's all about cardio, strength and thighs.
Feel The Burn kicks off again on Wednesday, July 26 at 5.45pm and Jazzercise runs from Saturday, July 30 at 10am at the Passion Studio, located at 1/594 Elizabeth Street, just near the Queen Vic Market.
If you've ever wanted to feel like you're in Fame or Flash Dance or you dreamed of being a Solid Gold dancer, these classes will satisfy your soul.
All classes are suitable for beginners, so even if the last time you danced was in your bedroom in the '80s, get along.
