There are lots of options for lunch or dinner out in the Sydney CBD, but there are always ones that are tucked away in obscure places. These are the gems you find and want to keep coming back! Such a place is Miss Chu, which not only needs you to walk into Regent Place - a little lane next to Town Hall KFC, but also requires you to go under an escalator.

When you first see the place, you think you've suddenly arrived in Asia.

It took us a while to find where to order, as it was on the other side of the restaurant when you come down from the escalator.

After scrutinising the menu for a long time, I opted for a #7889 ;n">Bánh cu& #7889 ;n -Vietnamese steamed rice rolls. My friend had a free-range chicken Hanoi curry with vermicelli noodles and Vietnamese herbs. Both of these were from their "Chalkboard Special".

We did have to wait for a while, as there were a lot of people there (we went at around 6.30pm for peak dinner time!), but once we tucked in, we obliterated the food within 5 minutes. Mine was very fresh and had a perfect combination of the meat and the vegetables. My friend's had bags and bags of Vietnamese flavour, with generous amounts of chicken. She did have pieces of vegetables that she didn't know what she was eating, which I later found out was Chinese Water Chestnut .

You can have to option of eating in and being able to see what goes on in the kitchen while soaking in the atmosphere, or taking it away, which they'd pack your food very neatly in cling wrap and give you a sturdy paper page instead of a plastic bag! If you are eating in, you also have unlimited water, which you can pour yourself.

You can also order your food and drinks online or with the Miss Chu App, and they even have images for you to see too! There is also a delivery option, and is free from 3-5pm Mon-Friday. (For an order form, click here )

Miss Chu has many locations across Melbourne and Sydney, and has even opened one in the UK.

Keep in mind though that there is a minimum amount of $15 if you want to pay by card (Visa or MasterCard only), and they do charge extra.
