Jewish Museum of Australia is celebrating the life and legacy of iconic artist Mirka Mora. The exhibition takes place from 14 February to 19 December 2021.
Mirka Mora was a French-born Australian visual artist and cultural figure who contributed significantly to the development of contemporary art in Australia. Her media included drawing, painting, sculpture and mosaic. Having survived the Holocaust, Mora migrated to Australia in 1951 and settled in Melbourne.

The most comprehensive picture of the artist's life and 70-year-long career.
MIRKA features never-exhibited works from the private collections of the Mora family and Mirka's studio and archives, alongside pieces from the Mirka for Melbourne collection recently acquired by the
Heide Museum of Modern Art.
Alongside these works,
MIRKA tells the artist's story through her sketchbooks, letters, diaries and audio recordings from the Jewish Holocaust Centre's archives.
