We recently undertook a Sunday drive to finally check out the . 2 hours drive north of Adelaide, Mintaro is a township in the Clare Valley, between Auburn and Clare. A visit to the makes for an ideal day trip or excuse for a weekender in this picturesque part of South Australia.



On arrival, guests pay for entrance at the gift shop and are given a quiz sheet titled The Game which sets a challenge to identify various features of the maze and neighbouring Gnome Garden.



That's not all! Aside from the maze which is challenging enough to reach the centre where the "Water Fairy" resides are a myriad of table games, including noughts and crosses and chess.



The gift shop is stocked with a huge array of puzzles and games at reasonable prices. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available.
