Indian in Heidleberg
Mint Leaf Indian Restaurant is tucked away from the main street of Heidelberg, near the train station. It's a regular haunt for hospital staff and a favourite with locals who love authentic Indian cooking.
With the added bonus of delivery and now Uber Eats, this place has everything you could ever want from an Indian takeaway.
If you prefer to eat in, there is seating for 40 and, although the premises themselves are not fancy the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming. The staff are happy and attentive and the place provides a perfect setting for dinner with friends or colleagues.
Mint Leaf has a broad selection of delicious meals to choose from. The tandoori mushrooms are juicy and refined, the curries are a delicate balance of sweet and hot and the list of different roti bread is extensive. I've never had a meal I didn't like and after 13 years of frequenting the place, that's really saying something!
My all-time favourite dish is the Saag Paneer (cottage cheese squares in a spicy spinach sauce) and I usually order the vegetable samosas which come with a yoghurt condiment. I can highly recommend this as a meal. I'm not a vegetarian but if I were, I'd live on this.
Mint Leaf offers a full range of meat-based dishes that are always freshly cooked and include vegetables so patrons are sure to feel that their meals are nutritious.
