Minnie's Espresso has taken up residence near the Grovely train station. It's a small shop but has become popular with the morning crowd wanting to get their caffeine fix on the way to work or the school drop off.
The clean and modern café was named after the owner's childhood nickname. Esther greeted me with a friendly smile and promptly made me a delicious hot chocolate.
The café is all about coffee. They use and stock Brisbane's Bear Bones Espresso beans. Minnie's Espresso offer a range of different coffee options from the popular flat white and cappuccino to mocha and all the others types of coffee I can't spell!
There is are range of sweet and savoury treats in the front counter. These will change as Esther finds out what your favourites are. On the day I visited there were tempting peppermint slice, gluten free super food slice, mango and coconut bread, or bacon and egg on Turkish bread.
There is the option of a pot of refreshing Chamellia tea in a variety of flavours. If you are after a cold drink, there is bottled water and fruit juices. The shop sells Ironhide Jerky in two flavours – chipotle and chocolate habanero.
You can find Minnie's Espresso at 4/265 Blaker Road, Keperra open seven days a week from dawn. Visit Minnie's Espresso's Facebook page to find the current opening hours.
