There is nothing better in this world than the freshness of air, the scent of gumtrees, and the sounds of birds singing, glimpses of wildlife and the sounds of water dropping into crisp, clean, tranquil pools.

At the in the Budderoo National Park you are guaranteed to fulfil those senses.

The path is easy and the whole track will take approximately 2 hours loop walk to complete unless if you are like myself and just want to take your time enjoying the great outdoors, spotting wildlife and having lunch by the waterfall then it will take you approximately 4-5 hours.

The paths are all sealed with wooden decking and flat / paved surfaces which make it suitable for wheelchair access and still incorporating the hands on experience of bushwalking.

The walk to the waterfall is slightly intense, however it is easy access.

You can spot all types of birds including lyrebirds!

My partner has never seen a lyrebird, so this was very exciting for him, as much so as finally reaching the main waterfall at the end of the track.

There is a cafe there; we did not eat here as we packed a picnic lunch to have at the waterfall. There are also BBQ / picnic areas.

Getting there is a quite fun with a scenic view through the southern hinterlands which makes this trip even more exiting.
The road is sealed and accessed in all weather conditions. There is parking on site for a fee.

The rainforest centre is opened daily expect for Christmas Day and is open from 9am – 5pm, however, they close the gates at 5pm sharp, so I recommend leaving around 4:45pm.
