The Mining Emergency Response Competition is a two-day event held on the weekend of 29th and 30th November 2014 at Langley Park in Perth. This free event takes place on Saturday from 8am to 5pm and on Sunday from 8am to 2pm.
Mining Emergency Response Competition
Now in its fourth year, this unique event provides a valuable opportunity for Emergency Response teams from resource industry companies to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through competition in a variety of emergency response situations. Their expertise and training is tested across a range of scenarios including Fire Fighting, First Aid, Hazardous Materials, Road Rescue, Vertical Rescue among many other realistic emergency situations. The event also serves to bring recognition to the wider community about the value and importance of emergency response, services and rescue training in our lives.
Visitors are invited to come along and watch the events as well as enjoy other fun entertainment organised for the day. All funds that are raised is going to support charities such as the Cancer Council, Flying Doctors, Princess Margaret Foundation and the Salvation Army amongst other charitable organisations.
