Every Sunday in July is market day at Langfords Patisserie.

You can't buy a coffee or a cake, but you can buy a candle or a bag.

You can't buy a sandwich, but you can buy a sandal. For example, a size 8 Avon Patricia sandal that normally sells for $30.00 is only $10.00.

On every Sunday in July, Joy and Gilbert Langford turn their patisserie into a mini-market. It's not huge, but a surprising number of items are offered for sale.

The next market will be held on July 12th, then 19th & 26th.

Joy explained " ... many of our items are leftover stock from previous businesses and discontinued stock."

What seemed a popular item, judging by the number available, were made up craft boxes with start-up materials for many different handicrafts.

Every market day will see new merchandise available, so every Sunday could be a bargain day.

I visited soon after opening and one happy customer was already leaving with an armful of bargains.

If you are wondering what all the goodies behind the market goods are, read my article on them . What you see will make you want to return on a non-market day.

The market is mainly for the benefit of local residents, but if you're passing by, drop in and see what you can find.
