is a new indoor mini golf venue inside the Canberra Outlet Centre in Fyshwick. It is the third mini golf course to open in Canberra in the last two years, with Yarralumla Play Station and Jungle Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Golf also located around the city. brings a different experience to Canberra's mini golf scene - this venue is an enjoyable hour of fun and exciting challenges that the kids will get a real thrill out of, in all weather. For families in Canberra, it is also a welcome sight to see another indoor party venue for the winter months, as well as something else the whole family can enjoy together.

Like many families, our family are mini golf enthusiasts - which is just a nice way to say that we are a little bit obsessed. If we go on holiday we will often seek out a new course and enjoy having a laugh whilst navigating tricky holes and challenging courses. For us, it is a family activity that we can all enjoy - where our young daughter often gets so many fluke "hole in one's" that she often wins the game. When this new course opened at the Canberra Outlet Centre (September 10th, 2016), we couldn't wait to get in there to check it out.

The brightly lit entranceway will entice you in, with party rooms to the left and tables to the right, so you can sit and enjoy a hot dog or hot food after your game. After paying for your game you enter the mini golf area - where excitement and intrigue awaits. The first third of the course is cannibal jungle themed, with bird sounds overhead and skulls on sticks on walkways above. The first part of the course eases you into the game, with a few easy holes and other challenging ones to test out the skills. This course is designed for all ages with a mix of challenges - some are so hard that us adults had to cheat to get our ball where it was meant to go!

Also be aware of your surroundings, as there are many surprises to be found along the course. Our daughter found two areas where things popped up or moved, which gave her a fright (then a laugh), so keep that in mind if your kids are easily scared. For the rest of us, it is part of the fun to keep us on our toes, out in the jungle.

The next part of the course is Egyptian themed, complete with Pharaoh, mummies and real sand around the course. As you move along this course the holes get trickier, which makes it exciting to finish one hole and start another. Each hole has something different to explore - whether your ball drops into a hole that takes it on a windy path along a wall, or it disappears and pops out somewhere completely different. As we had some space around us, we tried out all the alternative holes that we couldn't putt - the results were creative and simply, very clever. There has been a lot of thought in designing this course and it is impressive what they have fitted into a small area.

The last area is the Dragons Lair with medieval catapults, castles, turrets and when you get to the last few holes, you will find the dragon and his treasure to navigate. When you get to the 18th hole, don't forget to have a try at the Bonus Hole and try your luck at winning a free game. It's not easy.

For parties, they offer a range of options starting from $199 for 8 kids including a round of golf per child and party food in one of their themed party rooms. See details here . If you are after other kids parties ideas, see Children's Birthday Party Venues in Canberra .

is a great hour for all ages - from pre-schoolers to seniors and everyone in between. As this venue is open to 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights, it can easily be enjoyed by corporate teams, teenagers or perhaps couples who want to have some light hearted fun before going out to dinner. It is a good sign for Canberra families that we now have three quality mini golf courses around the region, as it offers new options for birthdays, weekends, school holidays and those days when you have run out of ideas of things to do. With friendly staff and handy location close to the city, will be a popular venue all year around.

Our family can't wait to go back for another round - and once again be shown how to play by a five year old!
