Drawing on her many years of experience studying, practicing and teaching mindfulness and meditation, Sharn has designed this non-residential weekend retreat to benefit beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Throughout the retreat you will receive expert instruction and guidance for bringing mindfulness to life. The program includes periods of formal and informal practice, mindful sitting, moving, eating and listening. The will be opportunities to ask questions and experience the restorative magic of silence and solitude. You will leave the retreat refreshed, inspired and ready to bring mindful awareness to daily challenges and opportunities.

Sharn has led courses and retreats in various locations in throughout Queensland and NSW as well as in Oslo, New York and Ubud. The clarity and confidence she brings to her teaching is grounded in her personal commitment to practice; her career as a teacher and teacher-educator; her years of teaching calm abiding meditation and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction; and, the great privilege of attending teachings and retreats with renowned Buddhist meditation masters: HH Dalai Lama, Thich Naht Hahn, Chokyi Nyima, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Choedak Yuthok, Dzonsar Khentze and others. Sharn has twice been scholar-in-residence at the Garrison Institute, New York

Although Sharn has lived on Magnetic Island for more than twenty years, this will be the first weekend retreat she has facilitated there. She is very excited about welcoming you to this very special place.
