Relax, reboot and regain perspective at this one day retreat
It's the start of winter and the time when most of us feel the dreaded 'mid-year slump'. We start to think about the year ahead and what we have achieved in school, work and our personal lives and might need to reward ourselves with some downtime to refocus and reassess our goals for the future.

Yet wherever you are in your life's journey, mindfulness meditation can help you cultivate a sense of inner calm and peace, so you can enjoy a more relaxed, restored and inspired existence each and every day.

Whether you are new to the world of mindfulness or wish to deepen your understanding, the popular 'Daylong Mindfulness Retreat' on Saturday 3rd of June, 2017 at the convenient location of South Brisbane Sailing Club, 68 Hill End Tce, West End is an ideal and timely experience.

Presented by Dr Sharn Rocco, who has received teachings from some of the great meditation masters of our time, this full day workshop (10am to 4pm) will introduce you to the fundamentals of mindfulness and the postures of meditation which can be easily replicated at home.

Held in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, you'll enjoy six hours of mostly silent, guided practice and instruction. From practising sitting, walking and compassion meditations to learning mindful eating and practical strategies to bring mindfulness to daily life, you'll leave this workshop equipped to live each day with more mindful awareness.

Sharn is an acclaimed teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and was twice scholar-in-residence for the Garrison Institute New York. She has taught mindfulness courses and led daylong and weekend retreats in various locations in NSW and Queensland, as well as in New York and Oslo.

To participate in this upcoming retreat, bookings are essential. To make a booking, please email
