International Hypnotist and Mentalist Phoenix returned to Adelaide for The Adelaide Fringe in his new show 'Mind Games Comedy Hypnosis Show' where he hypnotises willing audience members. This show ran until February 22nd at Gluttony - The Adelaide Fringe.

His final show on February 22nd featured lots of eager guests ready to go under hypnosis. As with everything, some people are more susceptible than others. Everyone is able to be hypnotised but it takes some more practice. During the show Phoenix moves through the steps of hypnosis and explains that it's the limbo between being awake and asleep and that something as simple as daydreaming is a part of hypnosis.

As he moves through the steps some guests are returned to the audience as they wake as others move further into the state of hypnosis. When in this state Phoenix can now manipulate their minds and convince them things that they once believed untrue.

One audience member could no longer remember the number 2 and would count his fingers one, three, four, five. Another completely forgot how to speak English and talked in an alien language. He convinced four people that they were a rock band and when the music started they proceeded to play imaginary instruments before thinking they were all back-up dancers for Red Foo.

His show was quite amusing to watch, however, it was long getting started as the actual process of falling under hypnosis took 30 minutes. Overall, it was an enjoyable Adelaide Fringe experience.

Although Phoenix's Adelaide Fringe show has now finished he does continue doing shows regularly. Check out for upcoming shows.
