For entertainment of a different kind, head to the Performance Stage for dance and musical performances. Perhaps chanting, meditation and messages from the spirit world are more your vibe; then join your tribe, also at the performance stage. You'll also find free guided meditation sessions at the Mindful Meditation Centre, hosted by Brahma Kumaris. Relax, unwind and learn simple methods of meditation and let joy, love, confidence and open heartedness into your life.

If your mind is a little more wired and thirsty for a workshop, head for the Seminar Series and check out the Speakers Lounge, Seminar Room and Wellness Workshops for all events over the weekend of the festival. With a lineup of more than 60 guest speakers, there's something for everyone to discover. This series is located in Seminar/Workshop Room A, and Seminar Room B (both upstairs), and the Speakers Lounge on the Festival floor.

Kicking off with a subject of curiosities in the Wellness Workshop, Psychic Medium and Author Kerry Alderuccio's Evidence of Life After Death may grab your attention. Getting to Know Thyself Beyond Body, Heart & Mind with Elise Carr may be more important to you. She offers a blending of psychology for the soul in a modern world. Lifestyle Medicine, Mindfulness & Wholesome Eating with Daniel Cerny, a qualified clinical naturopath could well fit in to that mould. In the current climate of stress and Anxiety: Take Your Power Back with Sahara Dewey, a Soul Alchemist and Intuitive may just be the speaker you need to hang with. There are so many wonderful workshops, seminars and speakers, you'd be hard pressed to fit them all in.

If you're after the Psychic Reading Room, pre-bookings are available for the first two sessions of the day with each reader. All other sessions can be booked on arrival to the festival. A standard reading takes about 25 mins, with extended reading going to 50 mins. For the longer extended reading, you need to select 2 X consecutive time slots. Why not sign up to be the first in the know of all changes and updates.

As you can see, with more activities than you can poke a stick at the Melbourne Festival is set to shake you to the core with new products and a Healthy Living Hub where you'll find expert advice, articles and healthy recipes to nourish your mind, body and spirit. Come along and be a part of the journey.

I was disappointed with the festival in Melbourne recently, too many Stall holders were out to rip the hard workers of Australia off . I did not understand why a “ join Islam “ stall would be there and felt it was not appropriate. Also I was sucked into listening to many hawkers wanting me to give them money monthly to save the environment. I found the day stressful and not as good as other times . Please if you have another one remember to stick to the theme and also please do not prey on those going through difficult times encouraging them to spend more money than they should
