This is the reborn Red Hill Markets - great food local items
After the uproar of the popular Red Hill Farmers Markets closing, the new Milton Markets are opening up in their place. These much anticipated markets will begin on Sunday 17 April 2016 and will run every Sunday thereafter. They open at 6am and close at midday.
The Milton Markets prides itself on being the inner west Brisbane's premium food, farmers and lifestyle market and judging by the popularity of the former Red Hill Markets these new Milton Markets are sure to be a hit with locals.
The markets are full of south-east Queensland's best farmers, fruit and vege growers, artists, crafters, cooks, chefs, designers, bakers, fishmongers, butchers, baristas, juicers and like minded local creators.
This new location for the markets allows the bonus for all market go-ers of ample free parking, which is clearly a blessing on market day. If you don't have a car, the Milton Markets are an easy 2 minute walk from the Milton train station and on plenty of local bus routes. The city cat is even close.
The best the local area has to offer of meat and seafood, eggs, honey and produce straight from the farm to you - buy from the growers and you know you're getting fresh and healthy. There's plenty of gourmet food stalls, arts and craft.
The thing I love about these markets is the live music and activities for kids they offer weekly. Come along and browse the 120 stalls and do your shopping the eco-friendly local way.
Grow local, eat local, support local - and support a healthy lifestyle and community spirit.
The markets are dog friendly. They are held in Cribb Street, Milton from 6am to midday each Sunday from 17 April 2016.
