The Milton Markets will be basking in the dusky moonlight as it hosts its nighttime outdoor shopping experience on Saturday 3rd June, from 4pm to 10pm.

Goodwill Projects, the team behind the Markets (including Milton and others) started in 2006. Today, the Markets have grown and pride themselves on supporting South East Queensland's best growers, farmers, painters, cooks, chefs, designers, bakers, fishmongers, butchers, baristas, juicers and artists.

The Milton Markets are generally open on Sundays but this one is a special evening event. Milton by Moonlight will feature the things the markets are known for, Food, Farmers and Lifestyle with 140 specialty stalls as well as roving entertainment and live music across two stages. Perhaps sample and support some of the locally distilled brews from the pop-up bar featuring locally distilled rums from Milton Rum Distillery, and Stone & Wood wine, beer and cider.

The name of the Markets made me wonder a little more about the significance of the date. For those interested in moon phases, some research tells me that the Full Moon is the lunar phase on Saturday 3 June 2023. Seen from Earth, its illuminated fraction of the Moon's surface is 99%. The 14-day-old Moon is in Sagittarius.

To find this special evening market event head to Milton in Brisbane's inner west. The are located on the corner of Cribb Street and Little Cribb Streets at Milton which is 3.7 kilometres from the Brisbane Central Business District. Entry is $3:00 and $2:00 for parking.
