With summer on the way it's time to come out of winter hibernation - get off your lounge, venture outside and become active again. If it is some sports based fun you are interested in is the answer.

Located only 20 minutes south of Sydney along the M5, is a privately owned complex catering to a variety of sporting interests. While the complex itself is not new, it is great to see that the new owners have introduced an array of improvements and new sporting facilities.

is popular with golfers for its driving range, made up of 37 hitting bays. a grass hitting area and a short game section. The Range is undercover and lit and now includes new state of the art mats. Prices start from $7.50 for a small bucket of balls. Or if you need help with your swing lessons are available from a PGA Professional.

For tennis enthusiasts there are four synthetic grass courts available to hire. They are not new courts by any means but they do the job if you are just having a friendly "hit and giggle" game like I was. Court hire costs $20 per hour and racket hire is also available if required. There is talk of resurfacing two of these courts to hard courts in the future. The also features a gym, fitness classes and 6 competition sized squash courts. Unfortunately I didn't venture in to the gym or past the squash courts, so I don't have any photos of those to show you. However if you need further information regarding the gym and fitness classes please click here.

So let's get on to the new activities I mentioned earlier. They include a Putt Putt golf course, Futsal and Beach Sports.

At the time we visited the Putt Putt course was very popular. While the course is compact, it does actually include an 18 hole mini golf game, set in landscaped gardens. Prices start from $13 for an adult and $10 for a Child or you can take advantage of Happy Hour prices during weekdays from 8am - 1pm which are only $7 per person. As is to be expected the course is very popular for childrens birthday parties. If you are interested in holding a party here you will be interested to learn that there is also a separate undercover area available where you can host a self-catered party, which includes power, lighting and a BBQ. If a game of Futsal takes your fancy, the centre boasts two new synthetic grass outdoor Futsal Fields. Futsal is a modified form of soccer played with 5 players per side on a smaller field. The centre is open 7 days a week and there is plenty of parking on site. The centre is located at 101 Raleigh Road, Milperra. With so many sporting facilities on offer there really is no excuse for not getting out and enjoying them. The ball is now in your court.
