I love life and enjoy it to the max, especially getting out and about, writing, taking zany art photos and playing my mandolin.

A pleasant place to visit for a Fiori coffee or to linger over a substantial breakfast or luncheon is the Caffe Bookshop, 254 Mill Point Road, South Perth. The book area has an intriguing selection of titles for all ages and with 2012 being the National Year of Reading in Australia it seems like a good place to visit, especially as a children's book specialist is on hand to inspire young readers.
Talking about inspiration, it is a perfect place for our writer's group to meet. We sit in the leafy alfresco area and relish being in this hallowed place formerly the home of novelist Tom Hungerford who wrote his "Tales for a Suburban Road" right here, Suburban Road being the original name for Mill Point Road.
We usually go for the BLT on sour dough but next time we might share the Mill Point Tasting Plate or the Grilled sweet potato salad with pear, feta, and walnut with pomegranate dressing. The Breakfast menu includes Scrambled Eggs a la Goat's Cheese with toasted Ciabatti.
Open 7 days from 8.30 am to 5.30pm, full meals are served until 3.00pm. After that savouries, cakes and drinks are available from the cabinet. It is wise to book on weekends. Ph: 08 93674567
