Located just 20 kilometres south of Gladstone on the Central Queensland coast, for over 50 years, the Esplanade beach area of Tannum Sands has become a favourite place for both locals and visitors for a nice pristine beach. It's a thumbs up for Gladstone Regional Council for making this coastal foreshore beautiful and has everything for everyone.





You can find plenty of individual pavilions here, just perfect for a beachfront picnic. This place is a favourite place for family gatherings, birthday parties and anything in between. Some pavilions are also completed with free gas BBQ. If you are not up for a picnic, The Tannum Sands Surf Lifesaving Club, located at Millennium Esplanade, is open to the public on weekends for meals and snacks.



Millennium Esplanade has plenty of grass areas and big shady trees with well-maintained tropical gardens. You can also enjoy a playground that is located in the middle of Millennium Esplanade. Smooth pathways along the esplanade are perfect for riding scooters or bikes and jogging.



What really stands out along the esplanade is the artwork. Concrete turtle sculptures as speed bumps, mosaic-decorated stairs, sea creatures sculptures and wood sculpture panels are some of the artworks that you can here.













Plenty of parking space, clean amenity blocks and plenty of cubicle showers for cleaning up after playing on the beach are other features that provided by the council.
