Situated on the corner of Grange Road and Military Road, Henley Beach, is the establishment. Offering customers a large range of chicken, seafood and breakfast varieties of food to cure any hunger. The store itself is located within a small shopping complex, hosting other various food stores. This is a definite plus, since the store always has adequate parking when you get the craving for some chicken and chips. Nothing worse than arriving at your local chicken shop to realize there are no parks, definitely has you covered.



The store itself has a very family friendly vibe; as soon as you enter you will be greeted by some of the friendliest staff you will ever have the pleasure to meet. They seem to actually care about how your day is going, what you would like to order and providing you with the best service available. This charming establishment allowing for dine-in or takeaway will indeed win you over, not just from the friendly staff, but from the amount of great food on offer.

The menu is huge offering a great range of chicken packs, schnitzel packs, breakfast burgers and seafood, then the large selection of homemade milkshakes adds a cherry on this impressive bounty. The great thing about is the reasonable prices, with a can of drink costing 1 gold coin and most meals sitting at $10, this is cheap but delicious food. Offering a few tables inside and out for dining, as well as magazines and the newspaper to keep your wait for food interesting. They seem to have all the facets covered when it comes to providing their customers, with top quality service and entertainment.



The one thing that keeps me from visiting my local chicken shops more often is usually their lack of EFTPOS devices, I am a card guy and don't like to keep cash on me, as I tend to lose things very easily. The good thing about Military Chicken is Seafood is their ability to provide customers with EFTPOS sales, though there is a $10 minimum. The option is greatly appreciated and I was actually shocked, when I found out they provided the service. Not only did this make it an easier decision to visit the store again, but the food made the decision a no brainer.

The food arrived quickly; they also provided cutlery and serviettes, almost knowing I would make a huge mess (Which I did). The food itself was great, it was cooked well and the chips themselves were also done very nicely, the gravy was another great addition as they had their own flavour that tasted brilliant. After struggling to finish my $10 meal, my friend and I were completely happy with everything. A quick farewell by the friendly owners and we left with a big smile on our face, knowing we would return very soon.

If you live around the Henley Beach area, is definitely worth the visit. From the friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, delicious and cheap food and the great customer facilities. This is one of the best examples of a local business providing service better then the big competitors, who doesn't love friendly service and chicken and chips afterall?
