Aladdin got three wishes from the genie when he found the magic lamp and I'm sure if he could rethink his wishes, he would have definitely chosen pizza, pasta and ribs!
Thankfully,
Mike's Grill and Bar at Sylvania grants these wishes in a '$30 all-you-can-eat package on a Thursday night. Perfect. The restaurant is usually packed with families ,so definitely pre book for this feast.
Mike starts with some toasted Turkish bread, accompanied with olive and sundried tomato dips. I honestly don't know why they serve bread at an all-you-can-eat night because who wants to fill up on that when there's pizza, pasta and ribs coming? But by dinner time you've starved yourself all day to make the most of the all-you-can-eat experience that your ravaging the bread before it even hits the table. They also give you a salad if you can call rocket leaves and Parmesan cheese a salad?
You can then choose any pasta and pizza off the normal
menu to eat next. I would recommend the spaghettini, although a bit oily it was still delicious. After your pizza they bring out the ribs with a side of beer battered chips. The ribs are dripping with sauce and so tender that they fall right off the bone. Well done Mike.
You can ask for more of whatever you want, when you want it. Doggie bags are not allowed, so make sure you're full to the brim before you leave.
Mike has four restaurants with three of them in Sylvania, so he's definitely keeping us on our toes. Mikes Grill and Bar is on the left hand side of the road if you're heading to the city just before Tom Ugly's bridge. Make sure to check out all of the other
special nights Mike's has.
So, you think you can eat?
