Hands up all those who remember television celebrity Mike Munro?

Mike Munro was an investigative journalist for 60 Minutes before becoming host of A Current Affair and Sunday Night. He also presented the show, This Is Your Life, making him a familiar face in our living rooms for many years.

Munro will be launching his latest book at a Literary Luncheon at the Grand View Hotel in Cleveland on Friday, 6th of September.

The Last Bushrangers were Queensland's answer to the Kelly Gang, and interestingly, there is a personal connection to Munro. For more information go here.

Lunch commences at noon and includes a two-course meal with a complimentary glass of wine. Bookings are essential and can be made over the phone on 3884 3000 or by emailing [email protected]. Tickets are $40 for GVH members and $45 for non-members.

I recently attended the Grand View's previous Literary Luncheon and was amazed just how much these authors give of themselves at these functions. A good meal, a great view across Moreton Bay and some fascinating conversation - all the hallmarks of a great outing.
