Let your kids run wild
While indoor play centres are a great place to head with the kids when the weather is too hot or wet to play outside, you can sometimes find yourself surrounded by chaos, loud noise, bad food and dirty, overused toys and equipment. To my delight, when we arrived at the Mighty Jungle in Morley the scene was completely the opposite.
Tucked away in the industrial area of Morley on Boag road (behind Galleria Shopping Centre), this indoor play centre opened in 2012 and has retained the clean fresh appeal over the past 12 months. The centre features a separate toddler space for 0-4 years, a 4-15 year multilevel playground and a Playstation space with games and arcade activities all within close proximity; so you can keep an eye your older kids while supervising the younger ones.
One of the other stand out features would have to be the kiosk. With a wide range of healthy food options, the menu has a number of options for the health conscious parent to choose from. I enjoyed a very well priced Asian chicken salad while the kids went with fruit toast.
As far as the play areas go, they aren't the largest ones around but still provide plenty of activity and space for kids to burn off some energy.
The toddlers section contains smaller climbing structures, ride-in cars and track, balls games and fine motor activities. Those learning to walk and crawl have soft padded floor mats and there is also cushioned bench seating which runs around the edge of this area for parents to sit on. For peace of mind, this section has a fence around its perimeter with child safety gate.
The area for older kids has a bouncy castle and large multilevel climbing frame filled with activities including soft hanging batons, a ball pit and tunnels to explore. The main attraction is the large 3 lane slide that sees kids whizzing down on their own or the fast slide mats provided.
The Mighty Jungle also caters for children's parties and its open 7 days a week. If you are looking for the biggest play centre, this might not be for you, but for a young family looking to spend a few hours out of the house so the kids can go crazy, The Mighty Jungle is certainly worth a visit.
Prices: 0-11months: Free 1-4 years: $8

Why publish this article at Christmas saying that the play area is open everyday. When I phoned, the answer machine message said it was closed over the holiday period until the 6th Jan. This is very misleading and could cause people to go there expecting it to be open.
