See Brisbane's newest emerging designers and creatives
The talented creatives at that eclectic French wonder, Vieille Branche (the old branch), are gearing up for their latest quarterly makers market. Get ready for their Midwinter Market; a morning where you can get to know some of Brisbane's most stylish designers and artisans across a range of fields from ceramics to statement jewellery and everything in between.
From 7.30am to 2pm on Saturday 14 July you will be welcomed into this creative space in a backstreet warehouse of industrial Albion. The term, 'creative space' doesn't really begin to describe this concrete block and louvre-windowed wonderland. It's part creative workshop space; part wedding and event venue; part warehouse photography studio; part Sunday afternoon gypsy jazz venue; part boutique cheese shop; and part old school bus and secret garden. And if that's not the most surprising and inventive swirl of ideas and creations, I don't know what is.
Brisbane is bursting at the seams with colourful emerging and established designers and creatives and Vieille Branch holds its artisan makers markets every quarter to showcase them and their wares. These are carefully curated and thoughtfully planned events with only 20 makers selected for each event. There is a moveable cast of regulars and new makers each time.
The market runs from 7:30am to 2pm at 10 Fox St, Albion, on Saturday 14th of July 2018. Don't miss it.
Please note that parking, especially on a market day, can be very tricky in this part of the world. If you're driving there is a public carpark (Secure Parking) at the end of Greg Chappell Drive. Cost is $4 for the day. You can get to Vieille Branche via Immarna St, or through the Queensland Cricket Club carpark.
