The Winter solstice marks the mid-point of winter and brings the promise of lighter days and new beginnings. Traditionally, large gatherings of people joined together to welcome the new season. In honour of this tradition, we’re hosting our own lavish midwinter feast with rich, hearty food, local wines and craft beer!
The night will begin grazing on shared charcuteries of cured and smoked meats and chutneys. Next the serious feasting begins on oven roasted and flame-cooked, succulent, smoky meats on the bone, alongside crisp chargrilled vegetables and freshly baked ancient breads. The feast will conclude with rich apple and fig pie, local cheeses matched with our own rooftop honey and dried nuts and fruits.
Not only will you feast, but you'll also learn, as the evening takes you on an epic culinary adventure from farm - to plate - to glass.
