Convergent Pathologies: is a group exhibition by trans and gender diverse (TGD) artists from Melbourne. It explores the experiences of TGD people living with mental illness. The show is hosted by the City of Moonee Valley and gives us a look at what the TGD people go through, from making choices to resist or comply with being pathologised on multiple levels, to creating spaces for multiple identities and realities.
Beautiful Women: a new portrait series celebrating the diversity and beauty of LBTI women. Photographer Lisa White returns with a new portrait series that challenges narrow definitions of femininity and perfection. Exploring the diverse characteristics of the power of lesbian, bi, trans and intersex women, it goes beyond skin-deep to a sense of pride in 'who we are'.
Join Breast Screen Victoria in celebrating all women as part of their work developing LBTI inclusive services. At the exhibition launch, LBTI community elders will share why LBTI beauty should be celebrated, and you're invited to share an image of a beautiful LBTI woman on Facebook or twitter, using #beautifulLBTIwomen.
The Atrium Gallery: A new site specific installation, Arc Eight - Vertice - James Tapscott will explore the physiology of your perception with this piece.
