Midnight Oil 1984 is in cinemas now.
Take a look at what it was like for those growing up in the 1980's.
Midnight Oil 1984 presents an era in Australia when ideological thinking and inspiration were achievable.
This movie is awesomely inspiring, taking you to a time where the music and the message were somehow clearer than the politics around them. Where the inspiration of a generation can be seen in the audiences' faces. The beginning of how we got to where we are now and possibly a message as to how to navigate the near future.
This documentary movie takes you on an awe-inspiring road trip, along with the band and crew. Music thumps out at you with Peter Garrett's voice clearly blasting through as Rob Hirst's explosive ever-present drumming sets the pace, not just of the music, but for a whole generation.
This movie takes you along with it. It has an amazing start and looks at Peter Garrett's time with the Nuclear Disarmament Party. There is a clear message through the movie about this time in Australian politics and the music that Midnight Oil brought to it.
Don't miss this one. It's awesome. For those of this era, it may create a spark of idealism that they haven't had since they hit first-year university and saw their first test tube.
The music is raw and loud. The story is fun and inspiring.
