Fresh ice cream made on site
With summer approaching I have charged myself with the task of finding the very best ice cream on the Fleurieu Peninsula. After much arduous research I have found the very best, near the beach, at Middleton.
Christine has been making ice cream, on-site, for eighteen years. She uses local Fleurieu Milk, of course, which means her ice cream has to be good; everything tastes better when ingredients are sourced locally. Flavours include mint, passionfruit, chocolate, coffee, salted caramel and Irish Whiskey. However, the winning flavour in my opinion is Turkish Delight. Just imagine; rich and creamy, freshly made that morning, Fleurieu ice cream with the exotic taste of Turkish Delight.
It's heaven for ice cream and chocolate lovers and I can't believe it took me so long to find this treasure trove. Now that I have I'll be working my way through all the ice cream flavours and doing my gift shopping here.
