is about 11.5 km trail located in the D'Aguilar National Park, near Mt Glorious.

The track features a waterfall and a remote bush camping site near Kobble Creek. A short walk from the campground takes you to the top of the Kobble Creek waterfall. The trailhead is at the Lepidozamia Carpark on Lepidozamia Break Rd, off Mount Glorious Rd.

is a challenging hike due to the steepness of many sections. You need a certain amount of fitness to negotiate all the challenges of the trail.

The hike can be done clockwise or anticlockwise. When done clockwise, the trail is mostly downhill. When you reach the remove bush camping site, cross the creek and you start a steep ascend with sections of loose underfoot, so lots of care needs to be taken.

I have done both ways - clockwise and anti-clockwise - I would probably recommend hiking in anti-clockwise direction.

The loop uses parts of Lepidozamia Road, Middle Kobble Creek Fire Trail, Kobble North Break Fire Break and Raynbird Creek Break Fire Trail.

Lepidozamia Rd intersects Middle Kobble Creek fire trail. Turn sharp right on Middle Kobble Creek fire trail and walk the steep descend.

From Middle Kobble Creek fire trail, turn left onto Kobble North Break fire trail.

From Kobble North Break, turn left onto Raynbird Creek Break.

What to bring

Hiking gear: a hiking medium backpack, long trousers and shirt with long sleeve, light raincoat, very recommended hiking ankle supportive boots, first aid kit, insect repellent (it works for leeches - give preference to cream or roll on that are more environmentally friendly than the spray), sunscreen, gloves, walking poles if you like to use them, sock protectors or gaiters.
Consider packing some extra clothes and leave them in the car. Pack some clean footwear and socks.

For this hike, consider carrying a map or download a good app on your smartphone that can help you to navigate in the bush.

Bring a medium day backpack with lots of water, especially if it's a hot day, 3.0 litres of water and snacks. During summer, you can bring electrolytes to dissolve in water to compensate for the loss through perspiration.

You may consider packing sandwiches, fresh fruit, dry fruit, energy bars and small meals.

Walk with family, friends or in a group. Never alone!

The days prior to the hike make sure to check:

After the hike, you can have refreshments at the Little Tree Bake & Brew House. The Cafe is in 52 Main St, Samford Village QLD 4520.

If you like, you can give a look at the local John Scott Park, between Main Street and Station St.

At 22 Station St, Samford Village QLD 4520 is the Store of Requirement. It has all collectables, games, soft toys, dresses and accessories from the magic world of Harry Potter.
