You really do still need to peddle, a bit
Electric cycles are a glimpse into the future, where our world no longer relies on cars as we know them, but society has moved to renewable electric power. Electric vehicles to support personalised mass transportation (likely self-driving) are not far away.
Electric cycles are available now and significantly increasing in number on our roads every week. My faithful A2BMetro electric cycle, in use since 2011, was recently retired and upgraded. I chose Thebarton based Micycles to help me through the decision making, options and choices.
Mic Chapman is a true pioneer in electric transport. His story is inspirational and worth a read on the Micycles website. His current passion is to see the electric bike industry as a whole establishment ban soft plastic packaging, a noble and achievable pursuit for this highly respected community member, a key member of the Australian Electric Vehicles Association.
Micycles is a boutique and specialist electric cycle supplier. From mountain bikes to commuter bikes, even an "Ag" bike for the farm, Micycles has them all on display. My favourite is a European style delivery bike, with a large tray on the front.
If you already have a favourite cycle shop, you will notice they are all stocking electric cycles these days. Many offer free demo rides.
I can recommend Mic Chapman for its old fashioned personalised service, and follow up, with the dedication to meet individual needs.
Electric bikes make cycling in the sunshine available to all, from the fit to those with a portly frame such as yours truly. It is especially useful for those seeking a gentle fitness regime, as believe it or not you still do some peddling.
