Walking through Melbourne Central today, I stumbled across a sign for the Mickey Mouse Arthouse. Intrigued, I followed the signs to the Mickey Mouse Arthouse. Here 90 acclaimed artists are displaying their interpretation of the famous Disney character in their own distinctive style. The collection was curated by Eddie Zammit and produced by Radio Velvet and features a variety of mediums and styles, including graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, street art and typography.
These art pieces show Mickey in ways that he has not been produced in before - think an X-ray of Mickey Mouse, a pixel Mickey Mouse and a day of the dead Mickey Mouse. They are simply stunning to look at and they also show how Mickey Mouse is popular across the world as these artists come from all four corners of the world!
The commissioned art pieces are exclusive to Melbourne Central, so to avoid missing out on seeing Mickey Mouse like you have never seen before, pop along to Melbourne Central before January 28th. You won't be disappointed!
