Michel's Patisserie has over 300 stores around Australia. The stores were started by European pastry chef Michel Cattoen whose desire was to share French delights with the Australian public.
Michel started his career in Australia in 1982 by baking French delicacies for a few select cafes and restaurants. His reputation grew quickly and so the need and inspiration arose with Michel's Patisserie.
Michel's Patisserie has a huge range of delicious items on sale for a sweet snack, lunch or a special occasion. The range available includes cakes, slices, savory items including quiches and pies, breads, gluten free and a variety of coffees, juices and teas. Michel's also provides catering packs with breakfast pastries, Aussie specialties with pies and the like, a Dessert pack laden with flans and a Gourmet pack with quiches and croissants.
Items for catering and birthday or specialty cakes can be ordered on line and picked up the next day with a large range available and the excitement of creating your own cake with your choice of sizes, flavours and images.
I enjoyed Michel's Patisserie in The Pines in Doncaster East on Monday afternoon. My party of three had a flat white with skim, two soy cappuccinos, and a vanilla slice. The coffees were delicious with enough foam and sprinkled chocolate on each and the flat white smooth. The vanilla slice was well sized with soft yet firm pastry and well set icing. The inner custard was smooth, soft yet held its shape.
The service was lovely and friendly and coffees were brought to our tables in the small table area surrounding the cafe, with a smile.
