Must see show at Fringe 2018
Michael Shafar, as seen on SBS's Raw Comedy, The Laugh Factory's Funniest Person in the World and Channel 44's The Leak, is bringing his fresh new stage show to the Adelaide Fringe. After selling out his debut season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, his new show, Kosher Bacon, is destined to a be a cracker of a hit during 2018's Fringe season.

Kosher Bacon
Sizzling new show

After leaving his successful career in law, Michael Shafar has carved out an impressive comedic resume being featured on Triple J's Good As Friday and ABC Radio's Comedy Bites as well as writing for award-winning shows, most notably Channel 10's The Project.

Eager to impress at this year's Adelaide Fringe, Michael Shafar is looking forward to bringing his "Hilarious and endearingly awkward"(Arts Hub 2017) and "Fast-paced, intelligent comedy" (Australian Jewish News) style to life in his stage show full of contradictions. Think, 'rounds squares', 'hot ice' or 'delicious tofu' and you have the basis of a show "about things that make no sense, like how my local politician used to be the DJ at all of our friends bar mitzvah parties."

Make sure you book tickets to see the self-confessed "nice Jewish boy" at the German Club. This will be a sizzling show!

"Jokes that set the room on fire with laughter" ★★★★1/2 The Australia Times

"Still laughing a day later" ★★★★1/2 The Plus Ones

"His stand-up is clever, informed, witty and well-crafted" ★★★★ Beat Magazine
