The long anticipated Mexican restaurant opens their doors today (April 13) and leading up to their grand opening, I was able to get a sneak peek of what the public would be able to enjoy on offer.

Co-owned by Zac Makins and Huy Taing, hopes to shake up the food & drink scene at the beautiful Henley Beach by offering customers of their Mexican-inspired bar and restaurant with the fresh and exciting flavours that decorate their food menu and cocktail list.

Walk into the hidden gem just off Seaview Road and you'll be transported to a world where bright neon lighting, quirky, retro fittings, and breeze-block nooks await you. The bar and restaurant is beautifully designed to provide a relaxed and casual bar space downstairs, where the floor has been cleverly crafted to become a dance floor at a moment's notice.

Upstairs, we are graced with an inviting ambience of dining, where customers can enjoy their meals, whilst being treated to the social atmosphere of Henley Beach that can be viewed through their stained windows. The upstairs area can also be hired out for private functions, corporate events, and group-based bookings (of up to 15 people), so you can enjoy a truly intimate party with your loved ones in style!

With a capacity of 90 patrons across their two-storey establishment, offers their customers with all the Mexican delicacies, such as tacos, tapas, quesadillas, and big sharing plates for food and of course, a generous supply of Patron-infused cocktails and drinks. Throughout the bar and restaurant, the walls are adorned in colourful words depicting everyone's favourite items from the Mexican cuisine.

On the menu is an assortment of options that marries a vibrant fusion of ingredients, including Cali Fried Chicken Tacos with avocado salsa and chipotle mayo, the whole crumbed Barramundi topped with citrus and guajillo chilli mayo, mango salsa and tortilla pieces, and the Trash Can Nachos, where diners lift up a can to unveil a sumptuous stack of pulled pork, avocado salsa, sour cream and an irresistible blend of three melted cheeses. While there may not be as much of a theatrical show with the dishes as 50SIXONE's concept, it certainly doesn't deter from the fact that the food is scrumptious and will undoubtedly satisfy your much needed Mexican feast fix as needed.

A Mexican feast isn't complete without a side of margarita and to exemplify this versatile and well-loved cocktail, there are six styles of margaritas on offer, which complement the delicious food and bring the ambience of a Mexican fiesta, without having to trek it to the country for the same effect! Think of frozen Espresso Martinis and Mango Martinis that are transformed into Margarita blends. There are also playful and fun options of passionfruit, crystal blue, and watermelon margaritas that taste as delicious as they sound. If margaritas aren't your strong suit, fret not, because there are also options of mojitos, palomas, Big Shed Kol Schizel beers, and Wirra Wirra wines available on the drinks list.

Injecting a taste and feel of the rich Mexican culture into Adelaide and situated minutes from the seaside, hopes to attract their customers for the views, the food, the drink, and the dynamic cultural experience through their vibrant style of the space and the mouthwatering food and drink on offer.
