The Cafe-Nursery-Gift Store Retreat
Travel along Beaufort St, past the super hip strip of Mount Lawley, and you'll find something's stirring in Inglewood. With unique places like Miss Kitty's Saloon sprouting up, it's definitely the place to watch.
Locals know, one of Inglewood's hidden gems is the eclectic Mia Cafe - a cafe-nursery-gift store oasis, serving up delicious food in a child-friendly, 'secret garden' setting with a delightful gift store to explore!
The menu caters for everyone, from fresh foodies in search of a delicious, seasonal, Mediterranean salad to the hungover wanting a fried breakfast, from the latte set seeking a freshly baked cake and creamy, strong coffee, to the dude food purists wanting beer battered snapper and chips.
Experienced brekkiophiles will be impressed by Mia's 'Breaky Extreme' offering: two eggs poached, scrambled or fried, grilled rib bacon, slow roasted tomato, mushrooms and hash brown with ciabatta
And children certainly aren't forgotten about with special Kids Menu, outdoor garden playhouse and colouring competitions to keep them busy.
Cafe goers can choose to eat in 3 areas - the cool and cosmopolitan indoor cafe, the lush, tropical courtyard garden with umbrellas and secure children's area, or the balcony that overlooks the 'secret garden' - Mia's tranquil, leafy nursery.
The service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable by Perth standards (breakfasts from $10.50 to $22.50 and lunches from $10.50 to about $19.50). It's simply a lovely way to wile away a lazy, morning - and parents will especially love the opportunity to let their children stray safely in the courtyard garden!
