The Mexican Kitchen sits smack bang in the middle of South Terrace in Fremantle. There are tables inside and outside, but on a blue sky autumn day why would you want to sit indoors? The decor is bright and welcoming, the chairs are comfortable and there are umbrellas for shade, making it a great location to people watch for an hour or two.
The food is as you expect; full of flavour and spice and definitely no holds barred on the cheese. The enchiladas were large, so if you are on a budget you could share the dish between two – the nachos are similar in size. All other dishes would more likely accommodate only one person. While I am not sure that the Mexican Kitchen is up to the same culinary standard as some of the other Mexican restaurants in Perth, it was a lovely place to while away a sunny Saturday afternoon in Fremantle.
