Are you a school excursion organiser, looking for something different to do in the school holidays or are you part of a community group? If yes, did you know that you can book a tour of the Metropolitan Fire Service Headquarters?

The MFS very kindly open their doors to schools and community groups to assist with their education programs regarding fire safety. The tours are subject to availability, fire incidents and call outs. Bookings are essential.

The tours are designed for you to come away with a better knowledge of what a firefighter does, how they serve the community, what the station is used for, what the equipment does and how to react if faced with an emergency situation.

The Educational Tours of MFS Headquarters usually take 1 hour.
The minimum booking number is 10, with a maximum of 30 people.

All ages are welcome and there is disabled access and, the tours are FREE!

Educational Tours are only held at the following times:

10.30am Monday to Friday
6.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday (excluding public holidays).

The fire crew and fire fighting trucks may be called away to attend an emergency at any time. If a call out happens during an Educational Tour, it will be stopped.

The MFS require a minimum of five weeks notice for all bookings. For more information and to download their booking forms , head to the SA Metropolitan Fire Service website.
