East Sydney Creative will make its contribution via 'Escape Early on Wednesdays'. From 5pm on 25 September and 2, 9 and 16 October, the city's east side will come alive with exhibitions, installations, gigs and talks. A vital part of the action will be the transformation of the Metro Screen Studios at Paddington Town Hall into a pop-up cinema and bar, designed by Gui Andrade.
A bespoke programme of short films will feature each week, organised thematically. September 25, curated by Rich Warren, will showcase 'Subliminal Psychosis and Paranoid Perspectives', with shorts by Harmony Korine, Film Bilder and Satchmo. October 2 will be witness to a 'Lena Dunham Love In'. October 9 is titled 'Feed Me Weird Things' and October 16, curated by Craig Boreham, is named 'Prototyes'.
The Metro Screen Pop-Up Cinema and Bar will be open every Wednesday between September 25 and October 16 (inclusive), from 5pm to 8pm. Entry is free, but it's imperative to RSVP to secure a place.
