On October 7, one of Brisbane's most popular African restaurants,
Made in Africa , is hosting a Meskel party to celebrate this great Ethiopian feast day. This is a great night to enjoy Ethiopian food and party with a DJ playing great music.
Made in Africa is a great African restaurant and the owner, Tesfaye, is a wonderful promoter of Ethiopian culture. He has designed the menu to let people who have never tried this delicious cuisine an opportunity to taste a variety of flavours. The easiest choice to make is to go for the share platters where you will be given a choice of the most popular Ethiopian dishes.

Along with standards beers and wines, Made in Africa also has a selection of African beers. I particularly enjoyed the St George beer from Ethiopia.
If you can't make it for the Meskel Party, you can pop in anytime. The meals are great and the atmosphere is friendly. If you have never tried Ethiopian food before, then one of the platters gives you a selection to try. Also, if you want coffee and cake then why not try a pot of Ethiopian coffee (remember this is the country that invented coffee, so of course it is good) and a selection of cakes, including busbasa cake.
