The Australian Textile Arts & Surface Design Association (ATASDA) is proud to announce their third annual Merry Threads Christmas Fair on Saturday, 3 December at Weller's Hill Hub, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This exciting community event showcases an exclusive range of homewares, giftware, textiles and fibre art pieces at an affordable price.It's the ideal opportunity for Brisbane residents to connect with high profile textile artists and purchase unique Christmas gifts for friends and family. The various wares available for sale are hand-crafted and locally made with most being one-off pieces.100% of sales go direct to the artists also, so it is a great way to support the local artistic community. Tea/coffee and homemade cakes can be purchased onsite for a nominal fee as well.Entry is FREE and all are welcome. A convenient EFTPOS facility is onsite also. About ATASDAIn 2017, ATASDA will continue to deliver a range of creative learning opportunities from half day tasters and Guest Artist Talks to full day or weekend activities. The workshop program will provide a range of introductory courses, as well as more advanced programs for those who would like to push their creative boundaries and experiment with cloth and textiles. ATASDA workshops are held at BVAC Hub in Tarragindi and are facilitated by experienced members, accredited teachers and visiting interstate and international artists.
