Looking for something a bit unusual to do? Then come along to the City Beach Foreshore, on Saturday 22nd March, 2014, for the annual Merge Sandcastle Building Competition and Sunset Music Concert .

Watch as talented teams of architects and engineers from the Australian Institute of Architects (WA) and Young Engineers WA work on creating the "greatest sandcastle of them all".



This popular event is proudly brought to you by the Town of Cambridge and MERGE , and once again this event promises to be loads of fun for the whole family.

This years competition will feature two different categories, one for Professionals, open to members of the Australian Institute of Architects WA, MERGE, SONA and Young Engineers WA. The second category is new to this years event and is called the Young Builder's League, designed especially for children between four and eleven years of age, accompanied by one or two supervising adults.

When the Sandcastle Building Competition is finished there will be a free, fun, family Sunset Music Concert. Bring along a picnic and a rug or some chairs and enjoy some great entertainment in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the City Beach Foreshore.

This year's line-up for the Sunset Beach Concert is yet to be finalised, so keep an eye on the website for new details and up-dates.
