When it comes to big names, brands and already well off companies and places, I do not write about anything unless I have received exceptional customer service. I believe genuine kindness, understanding and making someone feel welcome should be the foundation of any customer relations. Sadly, it seems these qualities are becoming endangered so I make it my job to notice and reward great service when I receive it.

The is exceptionally beautiful and offers so many services I felt like I was in relaxation heaven. I've had the pleasure of staying there twice in the last month thanks to a wonderful boyfriend and both times we wanted to extend our stay to weeks. The staff are amazing, they are genuinely interested in how your stay is going and are personable on a very relatable manner ... all in all if you have a request or just want a chat I'm certain they'd be happy to do so.

When I think of the GC I immediately imagine high rises and people; but I was so happy to discover the Mercure is approximately 15 minutes from Broadbeach and Surfers, which allows for an all inclusive resort sprawled over acres of Golf courses that actually brought me back memories of childhood trips. When I was younger we never stayed in hotels in high rises, and that was part of the beauty; exploring the space, discovering all the facilities and activities to offer. I assure you - please stay a minimum of two nights because you are definitely going to need it! Great for families as well the rooms are comfortable, clean and have a sense of privacy. Each wing boasts a beautiful name and meandering through on your way to the restaurant or pool I I'm sure you will have moments of fantasy where you imagine living in such a place.

Rooms can come with a spa, and there is a gym and beauty services available for those looking for a relaxing time away. If you are like me however, and want to try as many things as possible, the Mercure Resort boast two swimming pools, four tennis courts, bikes, six different golf courses, a driving range, a baseball batting cage and even a giant chess set. We went out early in the day exploring, going to the huge weekend markets up the road and then enjoyed a cocktail overlooking the main pool as we played a game of pool. I actually won my first ever pool game at this resort and I do wonder if it was my constant state of pure bliss that gave me the edge. The room service is fantastic, but eating at the restaurant is even better. The food is high standard and delicious, please taste the brownie for dessert - it's a piece of heaven.

Whether you are having a romantic weekend away, a family getaway with the kids or want a beautiful backdrop to business meetings, I don't think anyone will be disappointed - the rates are reasonable and the free parking is really just the icing on the cake.

Enjoy!
