September 3rd is Merchant Navy Day. A Memorial service will be be held commencing from outside the Port Adelaide information centre at 11am for the short walk along to McLaren wharf to the Memorial section dedicated to all seafarers.
The public and special dignitaries are most welcome to join both the Merchant Navy Association, the Vindicatrix Association and the Royal Navy for a short service and to socialise afterwards.The only flags to be flown are that of the Red Ensign (Merchant Navy Flag) the National Flag and that of any Allied Merchant Navy.
