One such is well-known, award-winning, Perth playwright Hellie Turner (winner of the first Maj Monologues with Billy Windlock).
Her production company, jedda productions, is mounting Meow! both written and directed by Hellie Turner as part of the Summer Nights festival.
Imagine, if you will, if you can, that Andy Warhol (pop artist) and Louis Wain (cat artist) have mated and produced a child - this is Ludi Clawhol - renowned, if fictional, 'pop-cat' artist. It is the 1960s and his fame is fading, along with his mind (Wain died in an insane asylum, remember).

Meow! runs from the 27th to the 30th January (8:00pm) at The Blue Room, Perth Cultural Centre, Northbridge. Tickets cost $20-$25 and may be ordered online from the Fringe World website here.
