Mentone Magical Musical Moments
Mentone Grammar is delighted to invite you to an afternoon of 'magical musical moments', performed by present and past Mentonians, which is being held from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday 25th May 2014. The location is Mentone Grammar, Greenways Campus, 63 Venice St, Mentone.
The program will feature the music of CPE Bach and Gluck (image from Mentone Grammar website)
Members of the school community and the general public are invited to attend this FREE afternoon of soothing music, featuring piano, violin, cello, classical voice and classical guitar music, both as solo instruments and in combination.
The repertoire will offer a range of musical styles, spanning the 1600s to the present. The music of C.P.E Bach (son of the now more famous J.S. Bach) and Christoph Willibald von Gluck will be featured in the program, to celebrate 300 years since the birth of these composers. There will be unique performances, given by the students, of some of their most popular pieces.
Enjoy a range of instruments: violin, piano and classical guitar.
Please feel free to bring your friends and family as well. Mentone Grammar is also offering afternoon tea.
