The temperature is soaring! It is very hot. We are melting ...
Okay - it is not sensible to drive straight to Parramatta and see a rubber duck under a burning sun.

Detour please ... to somewhere with shade and something chill.

Good thing my friend knows Concord area well and takes me to a little reclusive gelato parlour.

An adorable little Gelateria in Concord - the perfect Summer pass-time. I took a peek and liked this place instantly.

Beautiful gelato flavours - all icy cold and look refreshing.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Very obliging and offered some gelato samplers for us to try.

Our eyes lit up when we saw Salted Caramel, Chocolate Truffle, Chocolate Mudcake, Lemon Meringue and Chocolate & Roasted Coconut!

Oh dear ... we certainly feel like Hansel & Gretel gearing up to eat away a gelato house here at Concord.

When I saw the Gelato Logs filled with all the popular gelato flavours - I wanted to take one home! Beautifully decorated and deliciously tempting.

'Huh... It's 34 degrees outside and we still haven't make it to Parramatta....I think it will melt ...." My sensible friend let me down gently, plus I don't think she wants to deal with a melting gelato cake in her car.

The voice of reason triumphed. So I proceed to rack through my brain to see whose birthday is coming up so I can order a log to try!

You can tell this new hype of gelato yoghurt is super popular. Collecting all different awards - Silver, Gold and Champion medals.

The fig sorbet is so very nice. Refreshing and you can taste the fig. Amazingly good. It is not over-powering sweet and loaded with artificial flavour that you can taste. I like it a lot!

The peach flavour is equally nice.

They also sell miniature pavlova, profiteroles and gelato cannoli. All in mini bite size!

Maybe Summer can linger just a bit longer ...

Along the way, I got a super chilled Watermelon & Strawberry Frappe from Top Juice Bar to keep me hydrated.

Then we continue our drive to Parramatta to see that Rubber Duck - I did wondered if it would deflated under this hot weather?

We shall find out!
