While out investigating the Gordonbrook Dam, I came across the Memerambi Plant Nursery with its cottage garden and plant stall. I had passed through flat dry farming land when I came across this beautiful oasis.
Using permaculture principles, the owners have created a stunning roadside garden which also includes a plant nursery.
Their road frontage is at least 500 mts and contains an amazing array of plants and shrubs with green vegetables dotted in various places.
But most interesting is the three Hobbit houses. So cute. Running along what would be a roadside drain is a water-way quietly trickling through the garden. I noticed logs over it providing access for insects and local wildlife.

I walked along the roadside taking masses of photos. During Autumn and Spring, I'm sure there will be a huge array of flowers. I did walk over the bridge to have a look at their beautiful goat.
The retail area of the nursery is easily accessed and I was so happy that I did not have to make a decision. I don't have a garden. But I do enjoy other people's gardens.
The nursery is about 10 minutes drive from Kingaroy.
